The job consists of eliciting needs, modeling processes, specifying changes and checking the result with data, and each of those can be practiced outside a formal analyst title. How can I get a business analyst job with no experience on my resume?
Build and show small pieces of the job. Map a process at your current workplace, write requirements for a course or volunteer project, analyze a public dataset around a business question, and list each under "Analysis Projects" with its outcome. Many analysts start in support, operations or QA and move across internally, so a resume that highlights the analytical slices of such a job is a credible application.
How long should a junior business analyst resume be?
A single page. Concise documentation is the core skill, and a second page at this stage usually holds course descriptions or duties from unrelated jobs. If space is tight, cut the oldest or least analytical items first, then merge bullets that describe similar work, and keep the examples that mention a stakeholder and a result.
Do I need SQL to be hired as an entry-level business analyst?
It is not universal, but it appears in many postings and removes a dependency on others for basic questions. Being able to write a SELECT with joins, filters and aggregation is enough to list it honestly. If you are still learning, put it in a bullet describing the practice project rather than in the skills line alone.
Should I include class projects on a business analyst resume?

Is the ECBA certification worth adding?
