About the role
As published on Snowflake's job board.
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
We are seeking a proactive, highly adaptable Senior Workplace Technician to be the full-time, on-site anchor (Mon–Fri) of our office campus. You are a natural self-starter who brings a warm approachable energy, a customer-first mindset and a sharp eye for the details that make a workplace feel exceptional. Beyond your technical and practical know-how, your greatest strength lies in taking complete ownership—stepping up in grey areas, adapting to quick pivots, and executing high-impact solutions with ease.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will keep our daily office environment running smoothly by taking ownership of a diverse set of workplace and operational functions, including:
- Lead physical office modifications, move/add/change (MAC) activities, furniture assemblies, and spatial reconfigurations.
- Skilled in both digital workplace platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, ticketing systems, space planning apps) and practical, hands-on physical execution like furniture assembly, basic repairs, and everyday maintenance.
- Oversee campus EV charging stations by monitoring usage, troubleshooting technical issues on the spot, and partnering directly with vendors for hardware or software resolutions.
- Operational Optimization: Stay three steps ahead by spotting bottlenecks early and bringing fresh, creative ideas to make our physical facilities run smarter and more efficiently.
- Builds strong in-person relationships with cross-functional partners and team members to plan, coordinate, and deliver exceptional everyday workplace services.
- Resolve facilities tickets efficiently and with care, keeping communication transparent and ensuring every workplace request is handled to the highest standard.
- Manage project budgets efficiently: monitoring spend, driving cost-effective vendor solutions, and maintaining tight fiscal responsibility across all on-site initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Manage on-site third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring service partners consistently meet standards of accountability and performance quality. WHO YOU ARE
- Experience: You’ve spent 5+ years in facility operations, managing multi-floor spaces or large corporate campuses where things move fast. If you have trade certifications (IFMA, BOC, LEED AP, or similar), that's definitely a big plus in our book.
- Ownership & Initiative: Drive project results from conception to completion with minimal supervision, keeping key stakeholders updated every step of the way.
- Self-Starter Energy: You don't wait for a manual. You love taking ownership, solving unstructured problems, and getting things done.
- Customer-Obsessed: You care deeply about people, bring great energy to every interaction, and take pride in crafting spaces people love working in.
- Adaptable & Resilient: You thrive in fast-paced environments, ride the waves of change effortlessly, and stay cool under pressure.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication, and a customer-service mindset.
- On-Your-Feet Readiness: Ready to move, lift up to 50 lbs, assemble or configure setups, and jump in to support occasional cool workplace events.
- In-Office Dedication: Thrilled to be on-site 5 days a week, acting as the anchor for our physical space and community.
