Enhancv Review (2026): Pricing, Complaints, Verdict
Last updated October 17, 2026 · By Andrew Johnson · OneTwo Resume editorial team
The short answer
Enhancv is the most design-led resume builder we compare, a good fit if a person will see your resume before software does and you want it to look distinctive. It is not a free tool: the free plan lasts 7 days, and Pro costs $39 a month, $69 every 3 months or $99 every 6 months (read October 17, 2026), renewing until you cancel. If you mostly apply online, want something free that lasts, or have a short search, a simpler single-column builder or a tool with a lasting free tier is the better buy.
Method and disclosure: we make OneTwo Resume, a competing resume builder, so read this as a rival's review. Every price was read from Enhancv's own pricing page and is dated; user complaints are paraphrased from the aggregate review pages listed under Sources, with the date we read them. We do not give Enhancv a star rating of our own. No affiliate links, no paid placement.
Enhancv overview
Enhancv is a web-based resume and cover letter builder from a company based in Bulgaria (that is the country on its Trustpilot profile). It is the one people pick for looks: the editor is drag-and-drop, the templates are visibly designed, and it offers unusual optional sections such as "Day of My Life" and "Life Philosophy" next to the usual Experience, Education and Skills. Its own pricing page pitches it to senior professionals, managers and career switchers who want a polished one- or two-page resume without fighting Word.
Around that builder, Enhancv has added AI tools: an AI assistant that suggests and rewrites bullet points, generators for summaries, objectives and headlines, one-click tailoring to a job description with a match score, resume translation into several languages, a job application tracker, AI mock interviews, a job board and a Chrome extension. The free Resume Checker takes an upload (PDF or DOCX) and runs 27 checks on format, sections, content, tailoring and recruiter red flags.
Pricing is simple: a short free trial (Enhancv calls it a free plan) and one paid tier, Pro, billed monthly, every 3 months or every 6 months. There is no lifetime or one-time option. Resumes download as PDF only.
What Enhancv does well
Design and customization. This is the reason to choose Enhancv. Layouts, colors, fonts, section order and section types can all be changed, and the results look designed rather than generic. Users on Trustpilot praise this more than anything else: the templates, how easy it is to make copies for different roles, and how good the finished PDF looks.
A reasonable ATS case, written down. Enhancv explains on its pricing page how its exports deal with parsing: selectable text rather than flattened images, contact details in the page body rather than headers, and two-column layouts that keep each section within one column. That is more than most design-led builders say, and it matches what an applicant tracking system needs. You still need to check your own file (see the FAQ), but the design does not hurt parsing by default.
A real free checker. The Resume Checker accepts an existing resume from any tool and gives a scored report across 27 checks, so you can use it without building in Enhancv at all.
Breadth. Translation, a job tracker, interview practice and a browser extension sit in the same account. If you want one subscription for the whole search, Enhancv covers more of it than most builders.
A trial that does not bill you, and a fair way out. The 7-day free plan needs no card, so it cannot turn into a paid plan by accident. Cancelling is self-serve from the Billing page, and after Pro lapses your resumes stay downloadable in read-only mode instead of being locked away. On Trustpilot, Enhancv replies to most critical reviews and often offers a refund.
Enhancv pricing, as read on October 17, 2026
Read from Enhancv's pricing page on October 17, 2026. Prices change; check the page before you pay.
- Free Plan, $0, valid for 7 days: all templates and design tools, basic sections only, Enhancv branding, a maximum of 12 section items. No card required.
- Pro Monthly: $39, billed once a month.
- Pro Quarterly: $69, billed every 3 months (about $23 a month). Enhancv's help center calls this the most popular plan.
- Pro Semiannual: $99, billed every 6 months (about $16.50 a month, which is the "starting from" price in the page title).
Pro adds 300 resumes and cover letters, Pro sections, unlimited section items, real-time content suggestions, the ATS check and no branding. All three Pro plans buy the same features; the only difference is how long you commit for.
Renewal and refunds. Under Enhancv's terms, every plan is charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel from the Billing page. Monthly fees are non-refundable if you used the service that month; quarterly and semiannual fees can get a partial pro-rated refund. Prices are localised: outside the US the pricing page shows your local currency, and two Trustpilot complaints (below) are about the checkout price not matching it. Check the total on the payment screen before you pay.
What it costs for a typical search. One month costs $39. A 3-month search costs $69 on the quarterly plan, which beats three monthly payments. The $99 semiannual plan is the cheapest per month, but only if your search really lasts that long.
What users complain about
As read on these dates: Trustpilot showed TrustScore 4.6 from 1,003 reviews on October 17, 2026. The themes below recur across those reviews.
- The newer AI assistant rewrites too much and gets things wrong. Several 2026 reviewers say it turned their own wording into generic text (one calls it "AI slop"), shuffled dates on import, added fields that were not there, or gave contradictory critique. In its replies Enhancv calls the AI assistant a new product line, says fixes are in progress, and offered refunds. (Trustpilot, read on October 17, 2026)
- The paywall shows up after the work is done. Users describe importing everything, then finding they cannot download the full resume without upgrading ("I cannot download the full CV without buying an expensive subscription"); others say the free plan is not really free. (Trustpilot, read on October 17, 2026)
- Checkout price did not match the pricing page. Two reviewers paying in local currency say the quarterly price doubled between the pricing page and checkout ("price doubles once you go past the first pricing page"). Enhancv replied that the user may have picked a different plan length and offered to check. (Trustpilot, read on October 17, 2026)
- Support is email only, and the AI assistant has a monthly cap. One paying user wrote "There is no real support just an e-mail" and that the assistant "stopped for the month on the 20th"; Enhancv's reply confirms a monthly AI limit exists. (Trustpilot, read on October 17, 2026)
- The checker flags problems that are not there. One reviewer says it reported words as repeated that did not appear in the resume at all, and read it as a push to subscribe. (Trustpilot, read on October 17, 2026)
How OneTwo Resume compares
We make OneTwo Resume, so take this section as a rival's view. The two tools are built for different priorities.
Where Enhancv is better. Visual design and customization, clearly: Enhancv gives you far more control over how the page looks, and more section types to tell your story. It also bundles more of the job search into one subscription: resume translation, a job application tracker, interview practice and a Chrome extension. Enhancv has been around far longer than we have and has a long public record of user feedback; we are the younger brand. If your resume goes to a person first, or you are in a field where design is part of the pitch, Enhancv is the better choice.
Where OneTwo Resume is different. Our free tier does not expire: building and editing cost $0, AI rewrites are unlimited and ATS scoring runs automatically, with an online preview. Downloads, per-job tailoring and cover letters are on Pro, at $9.99 per 2 weeks or $14.99 a month, against Enhancv's $39 a month. Like Enhancv, our plans renew until you cancel (from the dashboard), and we have no one-time option either. Our focus is the wording and the ATS score for online applications, not visual design.
How to choose. Need a striking resume and willing to pay for a quarter? Enhancv. Mostly applying online, on a budget, or need more than a week to get your resume right? Start with a builder whose free tier lasts; ours is one, and the Enhancv alternatives page lists others, including design-led options like Kickresume. Whichever you choose, test the exported PDF before you apply: copy all the text into a plain text editor and check every line survives in order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Enhancv free?
Only for a week. Enhancv's Free Plan is $0 but valid for 7 days, and it carries Enhancv branding, basic sections only and a maximum of 12 section items. No card is required, so it does not turn into a paid plan on its own. After that you need Pro: $39 a month, $69 every 3 months or $99 every 6 months (read on enhancv.com/pricing on October 17, 2026).
How much does Enhancv cost?
As read on Enhancv's pricing page on October 17, 2026: Pro Monthly $39, Pro Quarterly $69 billed every 3 months (about $23 a month), Pro Semiannual $99 billed every 6 months (about $16.50 a month). Every plan renews automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in local currency outside the US.
How do I cancel Enhancv?
Open the Billing page at app.enhancv.com/billing, click Cancel Subscription, answer the short survey and confirm. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for; after that the account is read-only, and your existing resumes stay downloadable. Enhancv's terms put cancellation on you before the next billing date, and say email cancellation requests are not always handled. Monthly fees are non-refundable once used; quarterly and semiannual fees can get a partial pro-rated refund.
Is Enhancv ATS-friendly?
Mostly, if you keep the design in check. Enhancv exports PDFs with a real text layer, keeps contact details in the page body, and its two-column templates keep each section within one column, so the text can be extracted. The risk is in what you add: icons, skill bars, extra columns and unusual sections. Before applying online, select all the text in your exported PDF and paste it into a plain text editor; if every line comes out in order, an applicant tracking system can read it too. Enhancv downloads are PDF only, with no Word file.
Is Enhancv worth it?
It is worth it if the look of your resume matters and a person will see it first: design-led roles, networking, a resume you hand over in person. For a short online job search, $39 for one month is high next to most rivals, and the 7-day free plan is too short to finish and send many applications. If you do subscribe, the semiannual plan is the cheapest per month but means paying $99 up front.
Does Enhancv have a mobile app?
Not that we could find. We found no Enhancv app on the App Store or Google Play on October 17, 2026; Enhancv runs in a web browser, and it also offers a Chrome extension for job sites.
